Anfield has been the home of Liverpool Football Club since their founding in 1892 which means it has been home to both good and bad times.

But, Everton were actually the first team to play at the ground which is quite interesting.

Obviously since its creation, there have been numerous expansions made to the ground in order to allow more people to watch their team live.

The most recent expansion to the ground was completed in January 2024 and added a total of 7000 extra seats.

5200 of which were general admission whilst the remaining 1800 will be used with bar/hospitality facilities.

Over the course of the expansion, we at DaveOCKOP have covered the many trials and tribulations that the club have gone through in order to make this expansion a reality.

Things such as the construction company going under administration played a part in the delay of the expansion.

The image we have found via Macred on Sky Scraper City outlines the current design of the stadium for the 2023/24 season and onwards.

Whether you’re a match-going fan or just genuinely curious about how the new stadium looks from a graphical point of view, here is the place to be.

It shows the seating blocks for the Main Stand, the Kop, Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand, and the newly expanded Anfield Road End.

The new capacity of 61,000 is the most that the club can add under their current safety guidelines.

However, the end of the expansion isn’t yet in sight. Although further expansion is difficult, it won’t be impossible.

FSG partner and CEO of the Boston Red Sox, Sam Kennedy, has previously said that it is something that will be explored.
